چکیده

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate patients having pelvic organ prolapse (POP) stage 2 and greater who have undergone vaginal hysterectomy concomitant with sacrospinous ligament fixation (VAH + SLF) or total laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy (TLH SCP) in terms quality life, sexual function, major minor complications, cure rates. We also aimed determine which procedure is superior according the results cases TLH SCP VAH SLF were applied. Methods: A retrospective cohort conducted at a tertiary center, including 137 underwent for symptomatic uterine quantification system (POP-Q) score ≥2 (n = 90) 47) concomitantly between January 2017 May 2022. Turkish-validated Pelvic Organ Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire (PISQ-12) Prolapse Quality Life (P-QoL) asked be completed prior surgery, on 30th postoperative day, six months, one year. Results: There no statistically significant difference among groups regarding scores PISQ-12 P-QoL questionnaires. group had longer operative time (108 vs. 94 min, p 0.037). found blood loss operations, favoring (p 0.038). Postoperative 6th-hour visual analog scale values significantly higher 0.01). Two women (2.2%) recurrence within year postoperatively versus none Conclusions: same decrease subjective outcomes (PISQ-12 P-QoL), whereas lower complication rate than group. need prospective, multicenter, randomized controlled multiple long-term follow-up understand ideal form cuff suspension following hysterectomy.
